JE SHOHOR CHORABALI – The Feature Motion Picture of EKMATTRA

JE SHOHOR CHORABALI (The Whirlpool) is a digital full length feature film. It tells us the story of a boy named Razu (13) who comes to the capital city, Dhaka and engages himself with criminal activities under supervision of street mugger Yasin. One day, Yasin found a girl called Khukhu in senseless condition and brought her at his place to utilize her as a sex worker. Eventually, both Razu and Khukhu meet their fate within a course of period.

The film has already touched millions of heart across the country. It has proved to be aesthetically and artistically a fantastic film. Excellent direction, unparallel background score, very pleasant cinematography, smart screenplay and remarkable dialogues make the film an outstanding and stunning display of magic. The lead roles of the film are played by few real underprivileged children.

EKMATTRA is the proud producer of this very historic film. The purpose of the film is to bring positive changes to the people’s behaviour and accumulate money to set up an academy for the underprivileged children where the dreams and visions will be reflected in. The film is leading a nationwide campaign now and collecting money for the EKMATTRA Academy. We are happy to see the enormous interest and participation in the campaign all over Bangladesh.

The film is actually the outcome of extreme hard work of the whole unit. EKMATTRA expresses its heartiest gratitude to all the members that participated in the making of it.

THE PERFORMERS
The lead roles are played by Parvez, Jashim and Raju; all three of them have spontaneously portrayed their past street-life in front of the camera. Khuku's character was played by Saionara Sehri. Though she has acted for the first time in feature film, but we believe she would win everyone's heart. A group of children worked under Yasin, who uses them for frequent crime activities. The character is flawlessly portrayed by the talented actor Ashish Khondoker. Yasin's main supporting hand, Pattu, is played by Mehedi Hasan Miftah. One of the victims of Yasin's misdeeds is Mariam, which is gracefully played by Rosey Siddiqui. Shahidul Alam Sachchu has special appearance in the film. We are grateful to 28 theater artists and more than 200 supporting actors who played numerous small characters to make the film realistic.
